Stanford quarterback portrait for the New York Times

A couple weeks ago I found myself feeling quite collegiate on the Stanford campus for a portrait shoot of their star quarterback Andrew Luck, for the NY Times. Working with photography restrictions of shooting at specific locations, and a 1pm shoot time during a beautiful, bright and sunny afternoon, I had to shoot a variety of images within 20 minutes of my shoot time before the young star dashes off for his wraps and practice. Below are a couple outtakes. Special thanks to Brad, the sports editor, for giving me a shout!

Destination: Sonoma County for the New York Times

A few weeks ago I spent a weekend shooting Sonoma County. From vineyards to coastline, I find that this county has one of California's most diverse and gorgeous geographies. Click here for the story and slideshow.

Earlier this month I stopped in Santa Barbara to visit an old friend from college. After a 3-day convention for journalism, I was so stoked to be outside at the beach. It was a brief visit...and here are some pretty snaps.
