A few years ago, when I was studying spanish in Guatemala, there was rumored around the school that the clowns that worked the streets were pedophiles because, quite frankly, they were creepy and were surrounded by glue-sniffing, street children. And with my own dislike of clowns, I, of course, fed into the rumor. But whatever. That was there and this was here. But that's what clowns remind me of. Twisted, I know. This one I shot at the grand opening of La Tapatia in Napa is apparently loved and famous, and everyone chuckled at his funny dances and balloon making. It was raining and everywhere around him were distracting backgrounds - signs and trees and telephone poles oh my. I really wanted to get one of him doing his funny dance...but this one I got instead. Kids were raising their hands to be a particpant in one of his funny dances, although he doens't look so funny here. Clown.
